From local growers to the products they bring to market, Florence-area farms have stories worth sharing. With a $2,500 grant from the Florence Copper Community Foundation, Future Forward Foundation (3F) is exploring a new way to connect people with the area’s agricultural community through potential self-guided farm tours.
The project will build on four “Success Stories” already completed in 2026 by developing four additional profiles of market farms in the Florence area. Together, the eight farm stories could become the foundation for an agritourism experience that gives residents and visitors a closer look at local agriculture.
A portion of the project will focus on a feasibility study to determine whether the tours can move forward. If successful, the initiative could help local growers and ranchers reach new customers, introduce visitors to the products available in their own community, and offer educational experiences that inspire future generations to explore careers in agriculture. The tours could also bring visitors from across Arizona to the Florence area, creating additional opportunities for local tourism.
Through this investment, the Florence Copper Community Foundation is helping 3F explore new ways to showcase the people and businesses that contribute to the Florence area, all while creating potential opportunities for local agriculture to grow.
