The Florence Copper Community Foundation supports organizations in the Pinal County region and recently delivered a $2,500 grant to the Queen Cobras Flag Football Club for their Girls Flag Football Access & Development Program. The grant will help provide protective equipment, need-based participation assistance, and other resources, so local young women can safely participate in competitive flag football while building confidence, leadership skills, and academic accountability.
“This grant from the Florence Copper Community Foundation means so much to our organization and the families we serve,” said Andres Ferriz, Queen Cobras Flag Football Club CEO. “It helps ensure more girls can participate safely in structured, competitive flag football while building confidence, leadership skills, and academic accountability. Support like this strengthens our community by investing directly in youth and their future.”
Queen Cobras is a volunteer-led nonprofit committed to youth development, character growth, and reducing financial barriers to participation. The Florence Copper Community Foundation is proud to help empower these young athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the field.
