The Florence Copper Community Foundation recently awarded a $2,000 grant to Good Shepherd Horse Rescue to support its “Keeping Horses Healthy and Happy” program.

This funding will help cover essential veterinary expenses, including intake exams, dental care, hoof care, and treatment for injuries or chronic conditions. These services are critical to ensuring rescued horses receive the care they need to recover and maintain long-term health.

“Providing rescued horses with consistent, high-quality care is essential to their recovery and wellbeing,” said Sophie Dessart, President of the Florence Copper Community Foundation Board. “We are proud to support Good Shepherd Horse Rescue and their dedication to keeping horses healthy, happy, and safe.”

Through this grant, the Foundation is proud to support Good Shepherd Horse Rescue and its commitment to providing compassionate care and safe haven for horses in need.

Community members are encouraged to get involved by volunteering, donating, or learning more about the organization’s work. To learn more about Good Shepherd Horse Rescue, please visit https://gshmhorserescue.com/.
