The Florence Copper Community Foundation recently awarded a $2,500 grant to the Pedro E. Guerrero Arts Center to fund scholarships for children and teens to attend art classes. This funding will help ensure that young people in the local community have access to creative opportunities regardless of financial circumstances.
“The arts play a vital role in building strong, vibrant communities, and it’s important that young people have the opportunity to explore their creativity,” said Sophie Dessart, President of the Florence Copper Community Foundation Board. “By supporting scholarships at the PEG Arts Center, the Foundation is helping remove barriers and open doors for the next generation of artists and innovators.”
The Pedro E. Guerrero Arts Center envisions historic Florence as a destination where locals and visitors can engage with community-centered art in many forms. By investing in youth, the Foundation is helping cultivate the next generation of artists and creative thinkers right here in our community.
“We’re proud to partner with organizations like the PEG Arts Center that are making the arts accessible and inclusive,” Dessart added. “This investment not only supports individual students but also strengthens the cultural fabric of the entire community.”
The Florence Copper Community Foundation is proud to support the Pedro E. Guerrero Arts Center and its commitment to making the arts accessible to all.
