The Florence Copper Community Foundation awarded a $2,000 grant to Paws 4 Life AZ Rescue. This funding is specifically targeted toward supporting the organization’s spay and neuter services, helping reduce pet overpopulation and improve long-term outcomes for dogs in need, while also contributing to their ongoing rescue efforts and critical care services across the region.

“Supporting spay and neuter programs is one of the most effective ways to create lasting, positive change for animal welfare in our communities,” said Sophie Dessart, President of the Florence Copper Community Foundation Board. “Paws 4 Life AZ Rescue is doing incredible work to give vulnerable dogs a second chance, and the Foundation is proud to support efforts that address both immediate needs and long-term solutions.”

Since 2021, Paws 4 Life AZ Rescue has operated as a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer-based dog rescue serving the San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Florence, Mesa, Apache Junction, Tempe, and Phoenix areas. The organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for a variety of reasons, including those at high risk of euthanasia in public shelters, dogs surrendered due to difficult circumstances, and those facing neglect or abuse.

Through this grant, the Foundation is proud to support Paws 4 Life AZ Rescue’s mission to give vulnerable dogs a second chance while also investing in preventative care that strengthens the broader animal welfare system.
