October 10, 2022—The Florence Copper Community Foundation recently provided a grant of $2000 to the Florence Women’s Club.
The grant was awarded during the Women’s Club Board of Directors meeting on September 27, 2022. It will fund efforts to preserve and restore the Florence Women’s Club’s historic building, which was constructed in 1929 and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Aside from being the location of Florence Women’s Club meetings, the building is a popular special events venue in Florence.
Those interested in getting involved in the Florence Women’s Club can join them at monthly meetings on the second Thursday of the month between September to May. More information on membership or renting the Women’s Club building can be found on their website here.
