Through its Florence Copper Community Foundation community grant program, Florence Copper is proud to announce the award of a $2,500 grant to Imagine Prep Coolidge in support of expanding its high school science program.
By supporting the purchase of microscopes and essential laboratory supplies, this funding will give students the opportunity to engage in hands-on scientific discovery, observing cells, microorganisms, and biological structures up close. With improved access to microscopy equipment, students can move beyond textbook learning and into authentic investigation, strengthening both understanding and curiosity in the sciences.
Principal Michael Astalos said the investment “opens the door for students to explore a world they cannot normally see, creating excitement and deeper understanding in science,” adding that the support will help inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and authentic scientific learning for students and the broader school community.
The Florence Copper Community Foundation is honored to support programs that bring learning to life and help students explore the world in new and meaningful ways.
