Through its community grant program, Florence Copper contributed a $2,000 grant to the Salvation Army of Apache Junction. This contribution will help fund and strengthen the organization’s food bank, which will provide meals for families and individuals in need.

“We appreciate [the Foundation’s] support as we help those in our community that are in need. The food we give to families and individuals can mean the difference between food in their refrigerator or paying for electricity. As cost-of-living increases, we see more people coming to us as they struggle to make ends meet in today’s economy. This donation will allow us to ensure families and individuals have access to nutritious foods,” said Captain Darla Malone of the Salvation Army of Apache Junction.

Beyond their food bank, the Salvation Army offers a wide range of services for those in need throughout the community. These include utility assistance, snack bags and showers for the homeless, camp opportunities, Christmas gifts for children, and more.

The Florence Copper Community Foundation is honored to support the Salvation Army of Apache Junction’s work to strengthen and help the community.
