The Florence Copper Community Foundation awarded a $2,000 grant to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA). This grant will help cover the costs of transferring animals from Pinal County Animal Care and Control, helping to relieve overcrowding at the Pinal County facilities and ensuring these animals are given a second chance rather than being euthanized.
“The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is committed to collaborating with and supporting our region’s overcrowded municipal and rural shelters, and this generous grant from the Florence Copper Community Foundation will empower us to continue supporting Pinal County pets,” said Dr. Kristin Barney, CEO of HSSA. “We are so grateful for Florence Copper Community Foundation’s support of our collaboration.”
The Florence Copper Community Foundation is honored to support HSSA in making a lasting difference in the lives of both people and pets.
